Today finally was a day that felt like spring in upstate New York. I love when it starts to warm up, and the summer is not too far. For the love of the warmth I’m showing a few of my necessities.

ONE - EOS Organic - Strawberry Sorbet

Everyone has there signature lip balm, and EOS is perfectly compact, and keeps my lips hydrated.

TWO - Wythe and Berry Body Lotion - Lemon and Eucalyptus

All natural ingredients create the perfect body lotion that lets skin breathe no matter how dry it may be.

THREE - Ginger and Lime Candle

Citrus is my go to for any scent, and candles are my favorite, literally and figuratively, to brighten up the room.

FOUR - Seventeen March 1975

For any time that I need fashion inspiration I look to a gift from my mom, a vintage seventeen from the flower power days.

FIVE - Planner

I’ve learned that with a planner my life is much more organized. Perfect...

OOTD 2/28

WP_20150227_11_58_58_Pro20150227120652.jpg

Even though New York still remains in winter I still try and wear outfits that retain my style in the cold weather. I don’t always like to wear mostly darker shades, but in this outfit I made an exception. I wanted the main attention to be drawn to my floral shoes , so letting my top be not as aesthetically pleasing with the brown, grey and black combination the shoes are the perfect balance to create the outfit.

Sweater - Aerie

Brown Collar Shirt - H&M

Skirt - Salvo

Shoes - Diba

Oscars 2015

The Oscars happened this past weekend which gives us another chance to see new styles on celebrities, and the designers they chose. Elie Saab seemed to be popular being worn by both Jennifer Lopez and Emma Stone, and both dresses were stunning.

Keira Knightly showed up looking flawless with floral and cursive accents that created a gorgeous Valentino gown.

Margot Robbie blew us away as usual in Saint Laurent.

Zoe Zaldana and her hubbie Marco Perego showed up in Atelier Versace. Both pulled off not only looking perfect separately, but also together.

Miles Teller (one of my favorites) wearing Prada making him the cosmopolitan man we know he can be. His lady Keleigh Sperry in Lorena Sarbu looked just as chic with a dress that hugged her curves in all the right places.

New York Fashion Week

Diane Von Furstenberg.

I really liked this collection for the colors that were chosen for each piece. The collection felt perfect for the everyday business woman that would still maintain a chic look.

Michael Kors.

Everything brought out by the designer was warm, comfy and classic. Ready to wear for the cold winter months.

BCBG Max Azria.

The shoes in this collection are exactly what’s needed in this weather, and are even more suitable cause they’re wedges. I thought they were all very modern designs and had a great color scheme.

J Crew.

Very classic J crew. The collection had a modern feel, but at the same time reminds me of the 50s (even contains round rimmed sunglasses).

Desigual.

I love this designer for being a breath of fresh air with each collection. The designs being fun and flirty the runway was able to be easy breezy.

Grammys 2015

Grammy’s were tonight, and all the new fashions came walking down the red carpet with it. These are my top three woman picks. To begin with, Rihanna wore a piece from my favorite collection from fashion week, Giambattista Valli. I would say it was a very bold of her, but I think being as beautiful and as flawless of a woman that she is, she pulled of the dress with grace, also pulling her hair back tightly to make sure all eyes were on the dress. Kat Graham gave great advice on using dry spray to keep your look on point, but did it while looking the best. I absolutely loved her outfit choice of Yanina. Sheer and floral being two of my favorite fashion choices. Perfect choice that made a perfect look. Then Anna Kendrick wearing Band of Outsiders. Although I usually would not choose full black or pants suit I happen to love this simple sophisticated look. Anna pulled it off looking...

Today I decided to show how I do my daytime look. Eyes are the focal point. Having big eyes, the more black that outlines my eyes, the more sunken in they get. Therefore, I like to work a lot more with eyeshadow, and less with eyeliner. I also like a more natural look, so I make sure to try and use colors that balance with my skin tone, and eyes.

  1. Urban Decay - Naked2 Palette - Blackout, Booty Call, Chopper, Foxy

  2. Face Stockholm Blush - Worship

  3. Face Stockholm - Eye Fix

  4. Face Stockholm - Matte Eyeshadow - Russian Caviar

  5. Bare Minerals - Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - Light 1

  6. Rimmel London - Scandal Eyes Mascara

  7. Bare Minerals - Ready Foundation SPF 20 - Fairly Light

Coco Chanel.

This week I picked up a New York Times to get the update on fashion week. I was eager to find out what influenced designers, and how they were going to express it through there designs.
The design team of Valentino, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, stated, “Fashion has to reflect and respond to the times you are living in.” I love that statement. Fashion is art, and I think there is no better way to express yourself then through what you place on your body. Any influence that is used in fashion is then advertised to everyone, so taking influence from current times is perfect for expressing everything around you in that moment.
Then there was Raf Simons for Christian Dior who decided to take people not only through current times, but every year leading up to now, Vanessa Friedman wrote, – “'romance of the...

Outside.

I always have a struggle changing my style from season to season since I live in new york, but as I become more comfortable in the winter weather I decided to throw this together. I’m really excited about my new jacket, and shoes I picked up at Salvo. Both are lined with faux fur, and keep me very warm. I guess I’m into fur these days, but that’s not a problem of course during winter.

Shoes: Anne Michelle original $14.99 discount $7.50

Jacket: Unknown original $19.99 discount $10.00

Portlandia Outfits

PortlandOOTD%20(1).jpg
Unsaved Preview Document.jpeg
This past weekend I took a trip up to Portland, Maine, to go and visit my friend Catherine. Everyone in Portland walks everywhere, so I always had to be prepared to be in the cold. These are both the outfits that I wore while I was there. I made sure to make sweaters my basis. I wanted my outfits to still represent my style, but still be comfortable and warm at the same time.
